“Ghost Town” was commissioned by Dr. Calvin Hofer and the Mesa State College Wind Symphony. It was premiered at the "Best of the West" at Mesa State College in Grand Junction, Colorado in December 2006. A "new" version was prepared in the fall of 2014 for a revived performance at the Colorado Music Educators Association Convention by the Colorado Mesa University (formerly Mesa State) Wind Symphony. The revised version here included several re-orchestrations, newly composed segments and the inclusion of an effect track.
